Polish President Karol Nawrocki said that he recently presented Warsaw's firm position on the lack of trust in Vladimir Putin to US and European leaders, the Polish PAP agency reported, BTA reports.

At a ceremony appointing his advisers, Nawrocki specified that he had spoken twice with US President Donald Trump, as well as with European leaders, to set out Poland's clear position on mistrust of Putin and the Russian Federation as a whole.

President Trump hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders in Washington, but Polish representatives did not receive an invitation to the meeting.

Nawrocki added that he would discuss peace and security issues in Ukraine during his meeting with Trump, scheduled for September 3 September. He specified that Zelensky invited the European leaders to the talks in Washington.

“President Zelensky invited those European leaders who are in Washington today. The Polish president is the only European head of state who already has a meeting scheduled with President Trump in the near future“, said Nawrocki.

He added that he is in contact with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the government. “In matters of Poland's security and the international situation, there is no room for political emotions, only for the interests of the state. The government represents Poland in the so-called Coalition of the Willing“, the Polish president emphasized.
