The British icon of absolute luxury Rolls-Royce has once again raised the bar in the vast world of boutique automotive construction. As part of its exclusive Coachbuild program, the brand has introduced the Nightingale - a two-seater convertible that is not just a means of transportation, but a moving work of art. With a starting price of a staggering $9.5 million, this “Nightingale” (from English Nightingale) is a request for technological and aesthetic perfection, available to only 100 privileged collectors worldwide.
The visual presence of the car is impressive - with its length of 5.76 meters it rivals the dimensions of the flagship Phantom, but with the grace of a classic sailing yacht. The front is dominated by the massive, hand-polished stainless steel "Pantheon" grille, flanked by predatory narrow LED headlights. The body lines flow into an aerodynamic silhouette, which ends with 24-inch wheels, the design of which is reminiscent of ship propellers. Interestingly, the engineers have achieved perfect stability without adding external spoilers, relying entirely on the diffuser built into the body.
Under the elegant aluminum panels of the Architecture of Luxury platform, an all-electric heart pulsates. Although the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Pressclub is keeping the detailed technical specifications under wraps, it is clear that the drive is an evolution of the system known from the Spectre coupe. This makes the Nightingale the largest and most luxurious electric convertible in the history of the industry, combining complete silence of movement with brutal power.
However, the interior is where the “Nightingale“ project lives up to its name. The two-seater cockpit offers a unique audio-visual atmosphere. The ceiling is a true technological marvel, made up of 10,500 optical elements. They are arranged to recreate the visual graphics of the sound waves of a real nightingale's song - a detail that turns every nighttime journey into a high-tech immersion in nature.
To own one of these 100 units, it is not enough to simply have an eight-digit bank account. Rolls-Royce will personally select buyers, ensuring that each car is configured to its owner's most intimate wishes. First deliveries are scheduled for 2028, giving future owners plenty of time to dream up their own personalized electric legend.
