After Volkswagen presented the facelift of the 8th generation Golf at the beginning of this year, and its production began less than a month ago, it is now becoming clear how much the popular hatchback costs in our country. The base model of the Golf 8 facelift is available with the Life equipment level, which starts at BGN 49,748 for a variant with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, mechanical transmission and 150 horsepower. The same engine, but with mild hybrid technology and a 7-speed automatic transmission, starts from BGN 54,882, while the popular 2.0-liter diesel with 150 horsepower varies between BGN 52 and 58 thousand with a mechanical or automatic transmission.
For the Style equipment level, prices start at BGN 53,985, and the highest equipment level – The R-Line starts at BGN 59,808, with only the seven-speed version available here. A GTI version will also be offered at a later stage, as well as two plug-in hybrid versions. For the combi variants, prices start from BGN 52,448, BGN 60,953 and BGN 61,642, respectively.
Visually, the Golf Mk8.5 features design updates, including straighter lines in the front lights and a new illuminated VW badge for the European market. The interior has undergone significant improvements, with touch-sensitive buttons replaced with hard ones, touchscreens redesigned and graphics improved. The new layout features a configurable top bar for favorite features and a fixed bottom bar for easy access to essential controls.
