The new Toyota Land Cruiser 250 received a budget, basic modification. The Japanese finally decided to make the SUV as cheap as possible. This was reported on the page of Toyota Gibraltar Stockholdings.
This company sells Toyota SUVs to the United Nations, the Red Cross and other international organizations. Many modern attributes of comfort are not necessary for these service cars, so the Japanese make the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 as simple as possible.
The SUV gets unpainted bumpers, mirrors and door handles, as well as 18-inch steel wheels.
The interior is also maximally simplified - there is no leather even on the steering wheel. A smaller multimedia touchscreen display is also installed. The seats have lost their electric drive, but, for example, the dual-zone climate control has been preserved.
The cheapest Toyota Land Cruiser 250 is available only with a 2.8-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 204 horsepower. This unit works in conjunction with a cheaper 6-speed automatic (the rest of the Land Cruiser 250 has an 8-speed automatic transmission).
But all-wheel drive with a reduction gear remains unchanged. The price of the Toyota Land Cruiser 250 is not known, as this version of the SUV has not yet gone on sale. However, it is known that it will be much cheaper than the base version of the model, which costs from $56,000.
