Huawei, the tech giant known for its smartphones and consumer electronics, is now entering the luxury car market with its new Maextro brand. The debut model of the company, which is a joint venture with JAC, is a full-size electric sedan that directly challenges established luxury brands such as Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
Although the S800 features a length of 5,480 mm, width of 2,000 mm, height of 1,536 mm and a wheelbase of 3,370 mm and a luxurious interior, its design has drawn mixed reactions. The car's styling, while opulent, draws heavily on inspiration from European luxury marques, particularly Rolls-Royce and Bentley. The large radiator grille, broad lines and rich interior are strikingly similar to these iconic brands.
In the interior we also find similarities, as one of the extras offered is a “starry sky” roof. The car also features advanced driver assistance systems powered by Huawei's AI. The electric drive, built on the basis of Huawei's intelligent Tuling chassis, promises high performance and efficiency, although the company has not yet disclosed the exact data.
