The two-time Formula 1 champion has bought a rare Ford GT in honor of Le Mans. Fernando Alonso has added a special edition Holman Moody Heritage Edition to his car collection. This is a limited edition Ford GT dedicated to the triple victory of the "blue oval" in the marathon in 1966. The hat-trick would not have been possible without the Holman&Moody team: before the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the team spent eight days in testing and the hard work paid off.
Fernando Alonso has his own success story in the 24 Hours of Le Mans: the Spanish athlete won twice, driving a Toyota. The driver also has two Formula 1 titles and two Monaco Grand Prix victories, so the only thing missing from the "triple crown" is success at the Indianapolis 500. Alonso did not reflect the purchase of the Ford GT Holman Moody Holman Moody Heritage Edition on social networks, although the acquaintance with another of his acquisitions - the Aston Martin Valkyrie - was marked by a photo report.
However, the Spaniard has no connection with the "blue oval", and as a factory driver of Aston Martin F1, it is hardly possible for him to associate with other car brands under the terms of the contract. But in their free time, Formula 1 drivers are caught driving different cars in Monaco: Max Verstappen (Red Bull Honda) drives an Audi RS 6, Lando Norris (McLaren-Mercedes) drives a Ferrari F40, and Lewis Hamilton, who was a Mercedes-AMG driver, got into an accident while driving a Pagani Zonda.
During his long career in the Royal Race, Fernando Alonso himself became a co-author of several special versions of supercars. In 2012, the Ferrari 599 GTB was dedicated to the Spaniard, and in 2024 the athlete became the ideologist of the Aston Martin Valiant project. See also the video with Alonso's new Ford.
