The Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting with representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Kazakhstan and the Japanese companies Sojitz Foods Corporation and Senko Farm, Kazinform reports, citing the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
The main topic of the meeting was the possibility of exporting Kazakh horses to Japan, procedures for coordinating a protocol for the export of live horses, including issues of veterinary and sanitary control.
The Kazakh side is ready for cooperation and providing comprehensive support in export. The parties note the importance of rapid exchange of information and strict adherence to international standards.
The Ministry of Agriculture continues to work actively to support domestic producers and help their products enter new export markets,“ the department notes.
We previously reported that the country's leading horse breeders will conduct a study of Kazakh pedigree horses throughout the republic, based on the results of which a plan for the revival of horse breeds will be developed.
