Beer is one of the most popular alcoholic beverages in our country. Proof of this are two facts. The first is that 57% of the population drinks beer at least once a week, and the second - 42% are of the opinion that the amber liquid is the right drink for them. Bulgarians drink beer an average of 9 times a month, according to this year's summer Ipsos survey. The most frequent consumers are people in two age groups - 30-39 and 40-49 years old.
Non-alcoholic beer is also becoming increasingly popular - every 15th beer sold in an EU country last year was alcohol-free. For 22% of Bulgarians, non-alcoholic beer is a modern drink, and 33% of women consider it a suitable drink. In the first half of the year, 3 million liters of non-alcoholic beer were consumed in Bulgaria. This is mainly due to people seeking a healthy lifestyle.
