GERB leaderBoyko Borisov and Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev opened today the National Academy of the party's youth organization, which is being held in Panagyurishte. The event is attended by over 150 young people from all GERB structures in the country.
"From the pedestal of the head of state, Radev is dealing with an MP like me. I let ministers attend the president's events, but they don't want to go, because there is not a single event that the "unifier" Radev to miss speaking out against his political opponent," Borisov told the participants.
The GERB leader criticized the president for the way he behaves during official events: "The president declaims hatred against the government and turns and leaves. Ministers cannot stand next to a president who has become a party leader," he added.
Borisov also touched on the current dispute with the president regarding the "Hemus" highway: "He asks me where the bags from "Hemus" are - where do you fuck him, where do you fuck him. The new lot will be released on Wednesday or Thursday and we will see where they are," said the GERB leader.
In his speech, he also commented on the political rhetoric in the country: "What does the state gain from the rhetoric between Radev, Borisov, Peevski, Asen Vassilev and all the others? I understand "Vazrazhdane", "Velicie" and MECH - they have to do this because they want to be seen. They have no chance of being noticed by anything else. Why do the others do this? I don't see the logic".
Borisov also touched on the topic of Bulgaria's European integration, thanking the government for its efforts to join the eurozone. However, he accused the PP-DB coalition of continuing to sabotage this path, especially in relation to the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
"Out of gratitude for having brought them into the eurozone, the PP and DB - sometimes together, sometimes separately, continue to sabotage our path. The first budget in euros is coming, which is extremely difficult to balance," he pointed out.
The GERB leader concluded with an appeal to the party's youth to help people distinguish truth from lies, especially in relation to the international situation and the challenges facing the country.
