The new 17 km section of the "Hemus" highway will be opened by the end of September. This commitment of the state was not met, reports bTV.
The Road Agency stated that the safety of the route is currently being tested.
„As of today, there is a commission on site to draw up Act 15. Now, after the commission, for safety reasons, we want to make final inspections of the section and traffic can be allowed to proceed“, explained Eng. Stoyan Nikolov from the RIA.
The highway will now bypass Bulgarian Spring, and the people there can't wait for the dangerous traffic to leave the village.
The "Road Infrastructure" Agency assures that the new route will be put into operation by the end of the week.
