The entire state machine of GERB-New Beginning is harnessed to work against Sofia residents. Exactly - not against Vasil Terziev, but against the citizens of Sofia, because they elected a mayor who does not make deals with the mafia.
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Water Resources, which does not know where there are rivers in Bulgaria, revokes the license of a foreign company so that there is no competition for garbage collection. We are waiting for an answer why. The same Ministry of Environment and Water, which conducted 17 inspections of the Sofia Waste Treatment Plant in a year and a half, out of a total of 4 inspections in 8 years of GERB's mandate in Sofia. Why? Because the Municipal Waste Treatment Plant can only give the municipality a decision in such racketeering and sabotage.
The Ministry of Interior, which became famous for covering up smuggling in Plovdiv, does not care about the burned trucks of a company that wanted to participate in public procurement. Nor does it take measures against the deliberate dumping of garbage in "Lyulin" and "Krasno Selo". We will not even comment on the prosecutor's office with the illegal chief prosecutor.

The CPC, which is carrying out image campaigns while inflation is growing uncontrollably due to the GERB-New Beginning government, is not checking the cartel at the garbage collection companies. We will report it to them so that they remember. The next public procurement in Sofia is in 3 months, when more contracts expire – and from now on, triple-inflated prices are being charged, which we Sofia residents have to pay as a racketeering tax.
The Public Procurement Agency at the Ministry of Finance is deliberately delaying the procurements of only Vasil Terziev and the other opposition mayors. Probably in the hope that they will fail if they have not yet been arrested for ordering false testimony.
And the mayors of "Lyulin" and "Krasno Selo", instead of standing on the side of the residents, are behaving like lobbyists for the mafia companies. Just like the mayors of Plovdiv and Burgas, who without a problem burdened their citizens with a 90%-100% increase in garbage collection prices.
Currently, Vasil Terziev is being hit from all sides, because unlike Mayor Boyko Borisov in 2009, he refused to give in to pressure and let the mafia into Sofia.
There will be a solution to the garbage problem, and it will be in favor of the residents of Sofia.
The only thing we can do in the next ten days or so is to support the mayor and not give in to provocations. The entire resources of the Sofia Municipality have been mobilized, daily communication is ongoing, teams and volunteers on the ground are guiding people where and how to dispose of their waste.
This crisis is an opportunity for a lasting solution, without mafia, without racketeering and without tax corruption. We can handle it together.
