"Reformatting in power should be understood as a regrouping. This has been shown by all the statements and actions over the last week". This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by the co-chairman of the parliamentary group of "We continue the change" - "Democratic Bulgaria" and former Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov:
"This week will go down in history, but not with the elections in Pazardzhik, but with one sentence from Borisov, and we should remember this sentence well, because it provides a framework for analyzing everything that has happened in recent years, what is happening today and what will happen in the coming months. The sentence is - "Whatever Peevski tells me, I do it".
"The fact that Borisov does what Peevski says has several consequences that have not been discussed so far", the former prime minister added in an interview for the show "Nedelya 150" on the "Horizont" program:
"Why is Borisov saying it right now, after 20 years of hiding? Why is Borisov now announcing to all of Bulgaria and the whole world that whatever Peevski says, he does it? For me, this is the beginning of the visible transition of power in GERB from Borisov to Peevski, that is, Peevski asked to say it and Borisov says it. From now on, whatever Peevski says will happen and this is the entrance to the negotiations that are coming up on Monday. What Peevski wants will happen.
The co-chair of the parliamentary group of "Continuing the Change" - "Democratic Bulgaria" also commented on the state of the education system:
"With all the changes that are being made to the education system, we will not improve education, because we neither have a measure of quality, nor is there a way to measure it, nor do we have mechanisms that would give teachers and principals an incentive to work for better quality. We will continue to sink if we do not improve this part related to quality."
