The second day of the visit of the President of Hungary, Tamás Šuyok, to our country at the invitation of the Head of State Rumen Radev. The two paid tribute to the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and laid flowers in front of the memorial plaque of Bulgarian-Hungarian friendship.
The Head of State came to the official welcome with his personal car, but was escorted by National Security Service employees. On the second day, he did not use an official car after the amendments to the law last week. The two presidents remained face to face for an hour and noted the progress of relations between the two countries in the field of economy and energy.
„I thank Hungary for preserving the Bulgarian military memory, the Bulgarian military cemeteries from World War II. "To thank Hungary for and for its support for our Schengen membership, we were accepted during the Hungarian presidency and for years we have had fruitful cooperation in the fight against cross-border crime, illegal migration and the protection of EU borders," said President Rumen Radev.
