This came after the American president set Kiev a deadline of less than a week to accept his proposed 28-point peace plan to end the nearly four-year conflict with Russia.
The American president's plan was criticized by a large part of Ukrainians, who say it caters to Russian wishes and does nothing to stop the aggression.
Key parts of the proposal, backed by Washington, actually align with Moscow's previous demands and cross Ukraine's "red lines." The plan puts pressure on Kiev to give up territory, limit the size of its army and promise not to join NATO in exchange for an end to the war - all long-standing demands of the Kremlin.
