The weather in the country will remain cloudy with rain, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) announced. In more places and more significant precipitation will be at night in Western Bulgaria, in the high fields there it will temporarily be mixed with snow.
During the day there will be significant precipitation in Central and Eastern Bulgaria. In the passes in the western part of the Stara Planina, above 1300 meters, the rain will turn into snow. During the day in many places in the western regions of the country the precipitation will stop. The wind will be oriented from the west-northwest, it will be moderate and with it cold air will invade. During most of the day in the eastern regions the wind will remain from the east, in the evening and there it will be oriented from the northwest. Temperatures will remain almost unchanged during the day, from 4°-6° in places in Western Bulgaria to 11°-13° in the eastern and extreme southwestern regions. In Sofia, the minimum temperature will be around 2°, and the maximum – around 5°.
It will be cloudy and rainy along the Black Sea coast. A moderate wind will blow, in the evening it will orient itself from the northwest and will strengthen along the northern coast. Maximum temperatures will be 14°-15°, the same as the temperature of the sea water. The sea wave will be 2-3 balls.
It will be cloudy in the mountains, in many places with rain precipitation, above 1300 meters – from snow. After lunch in the Rila and Pirin regions there will be almost no precipitation. A moderate wind will blow from the east-southeast, on the high peaks – from the southwest, which will gradually orient from the northwest. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be about 4°, at 2000 meters – about 0°.
On Sunday morning, there will be precipitation in places in the western and central part of the Danube Plain, but by noon it will stop there too. The cloud cover will break and slowly decrease. A light to moderate wind will continue to blow from the west-northwest. The minimum temperatures will drop further, they will be close to, in places in Western Bulgaria and lower than 0°, and they will remain higher along the Black Sea coast; daytime temperatures will remain almost unchanged.
