The strong wind created problems in Plovdiv this morning. Fallen branches hindered traffic on key boulevards, including "6 September". Fire brigade teams joined in the clean-up. There are also overturned containers in various parts of the city, Nova TV reports.
Reports of similar incidents have come from several Plovdiv neighborhoods, but so far there are no reports of injuries.
In places, wind gusts reached 100 km/h - that's why an orange code for dangerous weather was issued for Plovdiv and 11 other districts. Meteorologists warn that conditions remain risky, especially near trees, loose objects and construction sites. Winds are expected to ease in the afternoon, but a damage warning remains in effect throughout the day.
