„With colleagues from „Democratic Bulgaria” we are holding talks about what kind of Bulgaria we want to live in. We entered Schengen and the eurozone and now we are talking about what kind of country and what kind of Europe we want to live in. We want to be in a strong Bulgaria and a strong Europe with a united army that can defend itself”, he pointed out.
Vassilev also commented on the rumors of discord in the ranks of “Continue the Change”. ”There is no drama or intrigue. Kiril Petkov clearly stated that he was leaving politics when he left the post of party chairman. He keeps his word. Lena Borislavova herself wished not to be on the election list. There is no one who has been pushed out of the party in any form”, its chairman was categorical.
He specified that the PP national council had long ago decided that Daniel Lorer and Yavor Bozhankov would not be present on the election lists, since their votes secured the “Zhelyazkov” cabinet. “This is not a new position, it just came to elections now”, Vassilev emphasized. In addition to the DB, the PP is also negotiating with youth from the protests to be included in the party's electoral lists.
Vasilev does not suspect a deliberate delay in the consultations of “Dondukov” 2 in order to postpone the elections in April.
