The Speaker of the National Assembly Raya Nazaryan imposed a "reprimand" penalty on Manol Peykov from the "Continuing Change-Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) for disrupting the order of the session and gave a 10-minute break, reports novini.bg.
After the deputies voted on the first reading of the "Vazrazhdane" bill to amend the Electoral Code, Peykov took the floor for a different vote. After he exceeded his speaking time, Nazaryan turned off his microphone, but he refused to leave the podium and she gave him a break.
After the session was adjourned, Manol Peykov, however, got into an argument with Angel Slavchev ("Vazrazhdane") and tried to pour water on him, but the splashes fell on the quaestor, who came to restore order.
Peykov apologized to the quaestor and told him that he sincerely regretted what had happened, his hand had trembled and he would bear all the costs of cleaning his clothes.
Despite the reprimand, Nazaryan announced shortly afterwards that he was kicking the MP out of the hall.
