Col. Dimitar Nedyalkov: There is a degree of danger for Bulgaria, since Iran has missiles - 1

"There is a degree of danger for Bulgaria, since Iran has missiles that could reach our territory. The Bulgarian territory is not completely protected, despite the Greek assistance". This was stated by Col. o. r. Dimitar Nedyalkov to bTV.

"Things end only with the F-16 fighters. We are also talking about the radars that were delayed, and the ground-based air defenses, which were also delayed. Making adequate decisions must go through parliament, so it largely depends on our politicians. The state we are in also depends on the politicians, he replied, how much longer Bulgaria will rely on military aid, after it became clear earlier today that we have requested assistance from Greece, which will send us air defense systems and two F-16 fighter jets.

This is a normal procedure, and we have reached this point because we have wasted many years in wrong decisions and actions that have slowed down the development of the Bulgarian army, including the Air Force, which in certain situations must react and protect the Bulgarian territory, "he explained about the Greek aid.

"Since last year, Bulgaria already has two F-16 fighter jets, but now it turns out that we will rely on combat duty of our southern neighbors with the same aircraft.

It is not from today to tomorrow - the planes come and start flying," he explained why we are not talking about the use of Bulgarian aircraft. First, the pilots must undergo additional training to verify that they can fly them and perform tasks.

The reserve colonel predicted that there are still "difficult times" ahead. He pointed out that according to UN data, there are now 40-50 conflicts in the world, and that this is the peak of tension since World War II.

"Currently, the world can destroy itself hundreds of times with the weapons it has at its disposal, and not just nuclear ones. Perhaps politicians should think more about peace not only as a concept, but as a state of the world," commented Col. Nedyalkov.

"Russia is benefiting from the war in the Middle East because the price of oil is rising," he pointed out. - That way it would be easier for it to successfully end the war in Ukraine."
