A 53-year-old man died in a fire in a house in the Stara Zagora village of Bratya Kunchevi.
On 08.03.2026, at 21:55, the First Fire Department-Stara Zagora received a signal from a 45-year-old man that a house in the village was on fire.
Teams from the First Fire Department and the RSPBZN-Stara Zagora were sent to the scene.
During the firefighting activities, a man's body was found in one of the rooms of the house, his identity was established – 53 years old.
It was also established that as a result of the fire, a small part of the wooden floor, a pillow and a mattress were burned.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated under Art. 331, para. 3, in conjunction with Art. 330, para. 1 of the Criminal Code under the supervision of the Stara Zagora District Prosecutor's Office.
