The conditions for tourism in the mountains are good, with sunny weather, according to information from the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross.
A light wind is blowing in the higher parts of the mountains. Temperatures are in the range of minus 8 to minus 1 degrees, and the weather is expected to stay that way.
There have been no incidents in the mountains over the past 24 hours, the rescue service added. They advised to be careful on the ski slopes, as it is frozen in the morning, and in the afternoon the snow turns to slush.
According to the forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, today will be mostly sunny. Before noon in the eastern part of the country and along the Danube it will remain cloudy and with reduced visibility. After noon the cloudiness will break and visibility will improve. A light to moderate wind will blow from the east-northeast. Maximum temperatures will be between 13° and 18°, in Sofia – around 15°.
