All 482 polling stations in Plovdiv submitted their protocols to the Regional Election Commission, Nova TV reports. For the first time in these elections, the so-called "golden corridor" was introduced there, which allowed the commissions that correctly filled out the protocols to pass with priority.
„57% of the commissions received a „golden ticket” and by 03:00 they left the International Fair with processed papers. Another 10% of the commissions used the other applications that the CEC had developed. So a very large percentage of the commissions this time had absolutely correct protocols. The errors found were minor - factual inaccuracies that took little time to correct. We are extremely satisfied with the work of our colleagues”, said the chairman of the 16th district election commission Kalin Sukhorukov.
The data for 90% of processed protocols indicate that the voter turnout was 51.7%, the lowest - in the “East” region.
The handover of the protocols was also accompanied by an incident - the chairman of a section election commission had an epileptic seizure. Emergency services intervened immediately and the man's condition was quickly stabilized.
