"Instead of apologizing, they go even further. We have only proposed a prime minister. They don't want a government. They continue to think that it will happen with the second term. The party is adamant that this will not happen. And today we give them time to think. Tomorrow marks exactly 7 days since the negotiations". This is what GERB leader Boyko Borisov told journalists in the parliament in connection with the negotiations with the PP-DB to form a government, quoted by Dariknews.bg.
When asked if they are ready to give up Maria Gabriel's candidacy for prime minister, Borissov said: "Are you seriously asking me? Why give up? Because a man has offended her. A man who, thanks to us, is the Minister of Finance. We defended him for 9 months from all those who attacked him. My opinion is that Asen Vassilev found the perfect time to defect".
In his words, Vasilev is "extremely smart and wants to become a leader of those who do not love them".
"After the tricks he does with the finances, we will have to return money from the budget under the Recovery Plan. If he remains finance minister, he has to fix this mess," added Borisov.
