"We have always been very responsible. What are our actions in the second term – we take our responsibility, we will make the right moves. I guarantee you that we will neither hide behind negotiating teams nor pretend that we are not there. We will take clear responsibility for the second term", he assured.
Petkov indicated that the rift with GERB occurred due to their reluctance to sign an agreement. "Nine months ago we had a gentlemen's agreement with a rotation of prime ministers. Ministers are replaced only by mutual agreement. On March 17th, Maria Gabriel offered us the same – to rotate the prime ministers without changing the ministers, but without signing the reform agreement. Yesterday Academician Denkov proposed a rotation of the prime ministers without changing the ministers, but with the signing of the agreement. When you remove all the fog from all the talking and all the negotiation processes, it actually turns out that if you compare the proposals of Gabriel and Denkov, the only difference is the agreement. For us, this means that GERB are clearly not ready to make reforms in the judicial system, services and regulators. Why – I do not know. We don't know if they don't want to or if they can't," he clarified.
