At 11 a.m., President Rumen Radev will hand over the third mandate to the ITN parliamentary group, reported "Nova TV".
This puts an end to speculation that the head of state is thinking about going to the ballot box twice. For the first time, Rumen Radev is betraying the tradition of BSP getting the third mandate.
Of the four parliamentaryly represented formations, only from “Revival” had given a preliminary request that they would propose a cabinet, although they themselves commented that they did not expect it to be supported. The DPS, BSP and ITN are adamant that they would return the mandate.
According to the constitution, there are different rules for awarding the third mandate. The head of state has 7 days to deliver the third term after the second has already been returned. The third folder is given to the chairman of a parliamentary group, not to a candidate for prime minister.
