It is to the state's advantage that there is no timelessness, but this does not mean that things are rushed or that there is no clarity regarding the next steps. This is what the resigned Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maria Gabriel, commented to journalists regarding the procedures for appointing an official cabinet.
Gabriel participated in the conference "20 years of Bulgaria in NATO: Because we are stronger together". The event is part of the program to mark the 20th anniversary of our country joining the North Atlantic Treaty.
When asked if she would accept to be a minister in the caretaker government, she stated that she would serve until the last day of the current government's resignation.
Regarding the elections, Gabriel commented that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, within its competences, will fulfill its tasks. “We must first receive the assignment in order to fulfill it", she added.
