„Petya Bankova has very high moral qualities. She has always been very sensitive about corruption. She broke channels that collected bribes at all kinds of customs and police stations. Bankova had information that the drug money, which was detained at a private port in Burgas in a shipment of bananas, was to be used to buy elections. Someone made sure she didn't do her job“.

„The searches carried out yesterday were not in conjunction with the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria. All that happened was reported only after it was over. „When Bankova was a DANS employee, she was forced to perform activities that, according to her, were outside the law and morality. That's why she applied to leave. She said that she would not participate in orders to crush people”, emphasized Adelina Natina.
„At the moment, Mrs. Bankova is not officially detained. We are waiting for a decision to be made as to what will happen. There are procedural ways for a person to be in a room without being detained. It is located in KPCONPI on “Sveta Nedelya” 1. There was no arrest and she was not detained, explained the lawyer.
„When you want a person arrested, but there is no arrest warrant, every few hours you give him a summons. We do not know who the other persons are. I saw her deputy Lyubomir Marinov when a search was underway at the "Customs" Agency. According to the CPC, when a search is carried out, what is being searched for is announced. They were looking for money in the office, and official documents in her home. They found nothing.
Seized were personal notes not related to her work, but from her studies in psychology. Her husband's consumer credit agreement was seized.
