The new head of the “Customs” Agency takes office from today. Georgi Dimov, the former Deputy Director of the NRA, was also the first new appointment of the official authority, NOVA reported.
He takes over from Petya Bankova, who was detained on charges of participation in organized gangs.
Both Dimov and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Lyudmila Petkova committed themselves to a thorough investigation of what was happening at "Customs" in order to find out if there were others involved.
Georgi Dimov undertook to announce within a few days what his inspection shows.
