A meeting of the Council on Economic and Financial Affairs - ECOFIN will be held today, NOVA reported.
An agreement on the information campaign for the introduction of the euro is expected to be signed, as indicated by the Acting Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Lyudmila Petkova.
The official cabinet is yet to approve the Law on the introduction of the euro, the public discussion of which ends on April 24. Last week, the plan-account for the adoption of the single European currency was published, according to which the transition will cost the Bulgarian economy about BGN 500 million. The finance department clarified that this is money that will not be given from the state budget.
