The communication between the BSP and the previous MEPs, elected with their list - Elena Yoncheva, Sergey Stanishev, Ivo Hristov, has long been unilaterally terminated.
This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the BSP Atanas Zafirov to NOVA NEWS.
Regarding the options for politicians who left the BSP to gain enough trust in the upcoming European elections, Zafirov said: “the only party in the left-wing political space that has a chance to jump over the barrier of the European elections is the BSP together with its coalition partners. We will create a broad left-wing alliance to participate in these elections”.
He explained that they would not partner with “Vazrazhdane” because they have a difference even for Bulgaria's European future.
About the early parliamentary elections, Zafirov said that the left's aspiration is to increase the results of the last parliamentary elections. “We were the only ones who did not enter into agreements”, he motivated himself.
In order to receive the support of the BSP, the regular government must declare an uncompromising fight against the backstage. In addition, he must declare his desire to fight the parallel state and the "GERB model", fight inequalities, fight the demographic crisis.
As the most important battle, Zafirov explained that they want to postpone the liberalization of the electricity market.
