The ban on fishing comes into force - 1
From April 15, the ban on catching fish and other aquatic organisms comes into force, dariknews.bg reported.

The ban is imposed in order to create optimal conditions for the natural reproduction of spring-summer breeding fish.

The ban is introduced for the Black Sea, the Danube River and inland water bodies.

This year, by order of Minister Kiril Vatev, it is prohibited to fish for flounder from May 1 to May 31, inclusive, in the Bulgarian section of the Danube River, and for pollock from April 15 to May 15, inclusive, in the waters of the Black Sea.

The ban on turbot fishing is from 15.04.2024 to 15.06.2024 inclusive. In relation to turbot, in addition to any fishing activity and transshipment, retention on board, landing and first sale are prohibited during this period.

For all other spring-summer breeding fish, fishing bans depend on the altitude of the water bodies.

The order extends the ban on catching white fish, pike and rasper in the Bulgarian section of the Danube River until May 31 inclusive, with the aim of protecting the population of spring-summer breeding carp, catfish and other heat-loving fish in the river.
