The Parliament will discuss as the first item on its agenda three draft decisions on amendments and additions of the Regulations for the organization and activities of the National Assembly, which stipulate that regular plenary sessions and committee meetings will not be held during a campaign, BTA reported.
This is provided for in the adopted work program of the parliament.
Yesterday, the Legal Committee adopted amendments to the parliamentary rules of procedure, with the aim of not holding parliamentary meetings between the opening of the election campaign and the convening of the newly elected National Assembly. The adopted changes are also related to the remuneration of the people's representatives to be charged from the day of the swearing-in of the people's representatives until the day preceding the day of the swearing-in of the people's representatives elected in the next National Assembly.
The second item on the agenda is fixed and MPs will discuss at first reading a bill to amend and supplement the Health Act related to the rights of patients with mental illnesses and preserving the human dignity of all patients, prohibiting any form of cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. The bill was introduced by Continuing the Change – Democratic Bulgaria“ (PP-DB), GERB-SDS, DPS and “BSP for Bulgaria”.
The third and again fixed point is the consideration of a draft decision for the adoption of the National Health Strategy 2030, submitted by the Council of Ministers.
The program includes a second vote on a bill to amend the Civil Procedure Code and a bill to amend the Criminal Code. The deputies will also discuss a draft decision on the implementation of the decarbonization policy through energy renovation of the housing stock in the country.
