Martin Dimitrov: We from the PP-DB have nothing to do with GERB, while Peevski drives the train - 1

While Peevski drives the GERB train, while he determines their decisions, I do not see what can we do with them. Thus MP Martin Dimitrov explained to Darik Radio the possibility “We are continuing the change” - ”Democratic Bulgaria” and GERB to sit at the negotiating table after the early parliamentary elections.

He made a retrospective of the political life in our country recently, specifying that during the last office of Rumen Radev, the state was almost brought to bankruptcy.

Martin Dimitrov stated that they worked with GERB on the reforms, but the co-chairman of DPS Delyan Peevski “pulled the handbrake”. “We established that this did not happen by any chance, but because Peevski asked them to do so“, explained the deputy.

„We are going to elections solely because of GERB, so that the reforms do not continue. Remember what they said: let the old government remain, let Denkov be the prime minister, but stop the reforms. They didn't say it clearly about the reforms, but I say it so that your listeners can hear what it is about. I.e. they offered us to keep the cabinet, but to stop the reforms”, explained Dimitrov.

According to him, GERB currently has all the power in the state. They hold 99% of the regulators, the SJC, the attorney general, and if they want to stop the reforms, it will be beneficial for the country to enter a spiral of elections.

Regarding the sociological surveys, which show a nearly 10% difference between PP-DB and GERB, Dimitrov said that they will try to answer the people why GERB refused to sign the reform agreement, as this question remained unanswered in the media. and scandals were brought to the fore.

The MP also commented on the contract with the Turkish energy company “Botash”. It was concluded by acting minister Rosen Hristov from the cabinet, appointed before the constitutional changes by President Rumen Radev, without the “Bulgarian Energy Holding” (I WAS) informed.

„This is another example of what the caretaker governments of Rumen Radev have done. And another example that the legacy they left behind is really problematic, Dimitrov said.

He stated that the contract was kept secret without informing the 48th National Assembly. The deputy defined the contract as “scandalous” and put the blame entirely on the office of the president at the time.

Dimitrov emphasized that it did not “cross their minds” in the National Assembly that a cabinet whose main task is to organize the conduct of elections, would sign contracts, and long-term contracts.
