A chemistry exam for candidate students will take place today at 9:00 a.m. at Sofia University "St. . Kliment Ohridski", the press center of the university announced, quoted by BTA.
The candidate student exam in chemistry is written and lasts four and a half astronomical hours.
The exam consists of two components. Component 1 is assessed with a numerical score based on the six-point system. This numerical evaluation is used to form a score for all applicants with a chemistry exam at Sofia University. It consists of two parts. The first part includes 20 multiple-choice test questions (one out of five). The second part includes four logical tasks (two on inorganic chemistry and two on organic chemistry). The tests and logical tasks are based on the educational content of general education and profiled preparation in chemistry.
Component 2 is mandatory only for applicants for the specialty "Medicine" at Sofia University. This component includes answering four open-ended questions from the study material studied in the mandatory and profiling training in "Chemistry and environmental protection". for 8th - 12th grade. This component is only for prospective students who wish to apply for the specialty "Medicine". Until participation in the graduation and ranking for the specialty "Medicine" only candidate students who received a result of "Yes" are admitted; of this component.
