On what has happened in Sofia in recent months and whether the price of the ticket for public transport and paid parking should be raised, municipal councilors Anton Hekimyan from GERB comment -SDS and Boris Bonev from “We continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria – Save Sofia”.
„Thank you to the entire GERB-SDS group for supporting our budget. He has record investments in the neighborhoods, which both the mayor Vasil Terziev and we have stated during the pre-election program,” said municipal councilor from PP-DB-SS Boris Bonev.
„We have said more than once that we supported the budget firstly because we are responsible and secondly because 95% of this budget is the same as that of the previous mandate. Unfortunately, nothing was done during these months that we can see as a policy. But surely Mr. Bonev knows that the good decisions for the Capital Municipality will be supported”, answered the municipal councilor from GERB-SDS Anton Hekimyan.
Boris Bonev stated that the money for the 15% salary increase in the urban transport sector has been secured. “We have an assurance from the deputy mayor for finance in the municipality that there will be no problem with the payment of these salaries. A new collective agreement was also signed between the mayor and the unions, in which for the first time, apart from a 15% salary increase and a commitment to such later in the year, many requirements and criteria for improving living conditions were set, he added.
„Empty promises, unfortunately, once again. I carry the economic framework, I have highlighted the missing BGN 16 million. Very interesting, where will this money come from, Mr. Bonev? If you are not familiar, I will leave this document with you,”, answered Hekimyan on the subject.
On the subject of the repair of “Patriarch Euthymius” in the center of Sofia, the two expressed contradictory opinions. During the week, PP-DB-SS accused GERB-SDS that their municipal councilor was attacked at one of the citizens' demonstrations.
„The man who attacked the municipal councilor Stefan Spasov is a like-minded person of their unsuccessful candidate for mayor of the Sredets region. The entire group of municipal councilors attended the protest," Bonev claims.
„These are extremely ugly suggestions – to relate one person to another, to a third. Let's see what the police protocols are. We are not an investigative body in the municipal council. Let's find out if Spasov was really attacked. We do not tolerate any violence," said the municipal councilor from GERB-SDS.
According to Hekimyan, the accusation of beating the municipal councilor from PP-DB-SS is another attempt to divert attention from the big topic, which, according to him, is the discussion of all the projects that are related to the lives of Sofians.
