Prof. Kolarova: They announced the change of ministers in an idiotic way

A few white spots in the Constitution are being abused. It seems to me that Rumen Radev delicately goes outside the framework in which he can act. We heard about the decree appointing this official cabinet with minister Stefan Dimitrov as foreign minister, but I did not hear if there is a decree to release Dimitrov from his post as ambassador to Montenegro.

This was stated on bTV by journalist Asen Genov, quoted by novini.bg.

Political scientist Prof. Rumiana Kolarova believes: “After Radev signs a decree, the decisions depend on him. He walked into a trap himself, saying he didn't want to interfere with the government. According to the Constitution, this is not the case. From the very beginning, Glavchev's request was to make a politically balanced cabinet. The president wishes he was equally distant.”

According to her, the way in which the change of ministers was announced was “idiotic”.

Sociologist Andrey Raichev emphasized: “They are three centers of power – Rumen Radev, PP-DB and Boyko Borisov. They have a clear interaction. Radev wants it to be completely clear that he has nothing to do with this “nasty”.

“If we go back to the written rules, the supreme law in our country is the Constitution. Nowhere is there a ban on the deputy chairman of a party. Obviously, this cabinet is politically balanced between GERB and Radev, somewhere in there and DPS”, according to Genov.

In his words, Radev wants to prove how nefarious the change in the Constitution is: “But these changes do not give him the right to present invalid arguments – there is no such thing as a “politically neutral cabinet”, “a minister should not be the vice-president of a party” etcetera. Nationally responsible behavior presupposes that our diplomacy is up to par.”

Kolarova does not think that it is about the post of foreign minister: “Undoubtedly, Stefan Dimitrov is the president's man. The pre-election campaign is clearly to break the state in order to win the elections.”
