Reforms that will continue to deconcentrate power - this is the formula proposed by “We continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria”. Everything else is the Peevski variant, which means a return to the times of fear. This was stated in an interview with Darik Radio by the co-chairman of "Democratic Bulgaria". Hristo Ivanov.

In his words, it is the constitutional duty of the political forces to produce government. And the formula for managing the PP-DB is the reform agreement proposed back in February. “We will seek reform of the institutions based on the agreement, which was addressed both to GERB and to our voters. Against us is the “Peevski” formula, which will lead to greater repression”, said the leader of “Yes, Bulgaria”.

He rejected the possibility of revolutionary changes through large majorities, because this option is currently excluded or possible only if liberal democracy is not leading. "The crisis will not be solved with one big blow, balances and compromises will have to be sought. Big clots of power should not be formed," Ivanov said and described the experience with management rotation as positive.

But he emphasized that it failed because of GERB's retreat from the understanding that we must flee from the concentration and excessive use of power. And the PP-DB has signaled against this turn, which began with the blocking of reforms after the adoption of the changes to the constitution, with the removal of Rosen Zhelyazkov from the post of chairman of the parliament.

According to the party leader, although we are going to the sixth consecutive parliamentary elections, they are not like the previous ones and now we are facing another crossroads. One alternative is to seek political balances, which, by his own admission, is not particularly electorally exciting. The other is to look for another new savior from the family of the president or some Bulgarian option between Orban, Vucic and Putin.

And Delyan Peevski is trying to conclude an alliance with those factors and forces from where this alternative “rabbit” can emerge. For example, through the Minister of Energy, through the Minister of Justice and through Elena Yoncheva as a DPS candidate for MEP. It also remains unclear to him whether Vanya Grigorova will say Peevski's name in the campaign.

“DPS have always been ready to very carefully balance and reorient their geopolitical orientation. It seems that the “Turkish bath with Russian snacks” formula is being restored, Ivanov said. And he drew attention to the fact that a number of journalists, lost in colorful expressions about poodles scratching at the door, missed that Peevski declared his manifesto: I, Delyan Peevski, will not allow there to be changes in the services and the judiciary.

“I can assure our voters that the co-chairman of “Continuing the Change” Kiril Petkov wanted to get work done and that's why he was looking for a dialogue with Boyko Borisov, sometimes I was amazed at his energy to not give up looking for these conversations. "This story is told in a revolutionary way, because an honorable political leader is trying to pursue the agenda of reforms without making compromises, but also without making the country hostage to his own ego," Hristo Ivanov said.

And the opposite leader (Boyko Borisov) sulked for two months and finally took pictures with Peevski handing out billions - “it is a perversion in this way to present to us the responsibility of one and the irresponsibility of another”.

According to Hristo Ivanov, the elections will be about who will hold the control mechanisms of the state: “Peevski gives the political guarantee of dependencies and guarantees in the system. And they depend on the prosecutor's office - to implement some developments, or only to show them a little, but without reaching a court, to make you squat, and then to hide them again. Peevski was denied this role and therefore murders began in the system, layers shifted, Notarius was killed. That's why Peevski is going to the elections - to ensure that he will determine the new Supreme Prosecutor's Council, the next permanent chief prosecutor and the next president of the Supreme Administrative Court, which is an extremely important institution in this power scheme.

The co-chairman of the DB is categorical that the changes in the Constitution are not unconstitutional and all criticisms are based on the decision of the Constitutional Court from 2003 - the result of a Nikolafil majority - that all serious changes affect the form of state organization and require Veliko National Assembly. He believes that then the decision of the SC was political and now the SC should also make a political decision. “No meaningful change is possible with this decision from 2003 and we took the political risk, whether now the SC will cement it. It was controversial and if it is confirmed now, it will still be controversial and anti-democratic, Hristo Ivanov is categorical.
