The intense rainfall that fell in Central and Northern Bulgaria last night caused a flood, NOVA reported.
In the village of Skobelevo, municipality of Pavel Banya, the river overflowed, the streets were flooded, and the sewage system broke. The situation has now been normalized after the convening of a crisis headquarters. No people were injured. For a short time, a part of the city of Pavel Banya was left without electricity last night, due to the thunderstorm in the region.
Urgent actions were also taken in Pleven. There, 38 liters of rain fell per square meter in 40 minutes. There are dozens of flooded ground floors and basements, and there has been a landslide. Cars got stuck in the low points of the city. The city hall announced that the cleaning of the city will begin this morning.
