"RSM is following the old path, but turning even further back. It's not that he was walking with any European steps before, but now he's taking some pro-Serbian steps. I do not share the views that it is a pro-Russian party that won the elections, it is a classic pro-Serbian party, since Belgrade is swimming in some Russian waters, therefore the rulers in Skopje are also swimming in such waters. But the main conductor who pulls the strings is not Moscow, but Belgrade, which never breaks its umbilical cord with Skopje.
This was said by Prof. Spas Tashev from the Institute for the Study of Man and Population at the BAS in the studio of "The Day ON AIR".
According to him, the analysis of "Politico" shows the level of Euro-Atlantic analysis.
"I have also read American analyzes in this direction, they say how important it is for the RSM to break away from the Russian sphere of influence. Well, how are we going to tear it away when those who run it are swimming in Serbian and Russian waters?! There is no such option. What we were being offered, to be uncritical of North Macedonia, meant introducing the Russian or Serbian Trojan horse into the European Union, as it has been introduced into NATO," added Prof. Tashev for Bulgaria ON AIR.
He is categorical that classified information is leaking from RSM to Belgrade, and from it to Moscow.
"I listened very carefully to the pre-election debates in Skopje, there was one mantra that was constantly repeated: "We will not give in to Bulgarian pressure, we will not accept the Bulgarians in the Constitution". We must clearly say that Bulgaria never wanted the Bulgarians to be in the Constitution, this is a request that was made by citizens of the RSM, who have a Bulgarian self-awareness and feel discriminated against. From now on, it is a matter of a European negotiation framework", the expert stressed.
Assoc. Tashev explained that VMRO-DPMNE has 58 deputies, and they need three more to have an absolute majority.
"They are conducting negotiations with the Albanian opposition party, which has 13 or 17 deputies. But VMRO-DPMNE has two crutches - one is called "Levitsa", the other belongs to the mayor of Kumanovo. They can make a wonderful assembly without having a coalition agreement signed. They are a mirror of the Bulgarian reality, no matter how much they spit on Bulgaria. Everything wicked that happens in Bulgaria is accepted. RSM is persistently following the path of the Serbian world, which is a mini-copy of the Russian world," added the guest.
The expert admitted that he is worried that the topic of PCM has been removed from the agenda in our country.
"The only institution that took a position was the president. We also heard from the caretaker prime minister, but he is unprepared. Bulgaria has no strategy on this matter. I do not know a Bulgarian who does not want to help in the integration of the RSM into Europe. But it must break with its totalitarian past and Serbian influence", said Prof. Spas Tashev.
