Gasoline and diesel prices have leveled off at Bulgarian gas stations - 1

Despite the gloomy prophecies that the break with Russian oil will go through the noses of the Bulgarians, the prices of motor fuels in our country are at decent prices. "Lukoil Neftokhim" smoothly supplies and processes various types of oil from around the world after the ban on the use of Russian raw material came into force.

Currently, the average price of ordinary gasoline and diesel in our country is BGN 2.72 per liter, according to the statistics of the Fuelo portal. It looks high against the background of around BGN 2.55 at the beginning of the year. But we have to take into account that there are objective factors - and oil prices are now higher, "Now" reported.

Data on the Numbeo portal show that in most EU countries, mass gasoline is over BGN 3. Neighboring Greece is also among the expensive destinations with 1.91 euros per liter of A-95. In Germany, they pay 1.74 euros per liter of motor fuel, and in France and Italy - 1.80-1.82.

Again, according to Numbeo data, there is one country where gasoline is literally pennies - this is Libya, where a liter of fuel costs only 3 euro cents. The next cheap countries, which, like Libya, are large producers and exporters of oil, are Egypt and Algeria, where A 95 costs 24 and 31 euro cents, respectively.

Greeks have been panicking for months because of expensive car fuel. Many owners of gas stations in the Northern part of the country complain that their turnover is plummeting, because drivers en masse jump to neighboring Bulgaria to fill up their cars cheaply.

Representatives of the oil business in our country advise people who go by car on vacation or on an excursion to Greece to fill the tanks to the top before crossing the border.

In our country, from the beginning of May until now, prices have actually stagnated. The good news is that experts do not expect any drastic changes in the summer - although oil quotes are quite "playful" and move in a zigzag pattern, reflecting tensions in the Gaza Strip and the Middle East, the decisions of OPEC and individual member countries, the performance of the Chinese economy, the pulsation of US fuel stocks, etc.

Will we see the traditional summer heating up of fuel prices? Rather not, Svetoslav Benchev from the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association told bTV.

„We expect weak fluctuations of 2-3 cents up and down", predicts Dimitar Hadjidimitrov from the Association of Bulgarian Traders, Producers, Importers and Transporters of Fuels.
