PP-DB submitted a request to convene an extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly on May 15 /Wednesday/ at 10:00 a.m. to make a decision and to oblige NOI and the government to implement the budget as it was written and voted by the “Denkov“ cabinet. The request was made after the cabinet's attempt to reduce the increase in pensions to 10%, referring to a draft report of the Supervisory Board of the National Insurance Institute (NII). The budgeted increase in pensions from July 1 was 11%.
The petitioners are: Kiril Petkov and a group of 50 people's representatives, the formation's press center reports.
The coalition insists that the meeting be held in the following order:
1. Hearing of the Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, in connection with the information that has appeared in the public space and a draft decision of the supervisory board of the National Social Security Institute, which is included in the agenda of the upcoming meeting on 14.05.2024, which provides for updating pensions according to Art. 100 of CSR to change from 11% to 10%.
2. Draft decision to oblige the representatives appointed by the Council of Ministers in the Supervisory Board of the National Insurance Institute to support a decision to update pensions under Art. 100 of the Social Security Code in the amount of 11%.
