The Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeikov expressed hope that there will be no escalation of tension in BDZ, reported BNR.
The trade union of the railway workers at the Central Railway Company previously demanded the resignation of the management of the National Company "Railway Infrastructure" accusing him of incompetence in negotiating a new collective labor agreement:
"In general, we have clarified the details. I have understood directly, face to face, what the demands are! A collective agreement is to be signed. During the preparation of the budget for 2024, I was also present at the Ministry of Finance, together with Mr. Bunev. Indeed, they have a right to be affected. There will be talks next week to clear up the situation in general. But, at the moment and into the morning while the meeting was on, there were no serious tensions to escalate in general and to move to strike action. I am convinced that dialogue and balance will be achieved.
