Policemen, firefighters and volunteers are searching for a missing 11-year-old girl who got lost at the Tsarevets fortress.
The child is from Gabrovo and was on an excursion with a school group in Veliko Tarnovo. The girl disappeared during a visit to the historic hill and the teachers called 112, BTV reports.
Police teams were immediately alerted and went around the fort to look for the girl. Firefighters, museum employees and volunteers got involved. On the fateful day, the child separated from the group without calling.
According to unconfirmed information, the child has an illness. According to the latest data, the girl left Tsarevets at around 12:36 p.m. and it is currently unknown where she is.
It is believed that it may have gone towards the city centre.
