Prof. Mihail Konstantinov: GERB+DPS+ITN – this is the government - 1

I do not expect surprises in these elections - neither for the composition of the Bulgarian parliament, nor for the European . Prof. Mihail Konstantinov, mathematician, former vice-chairman of the CEC and former chairman of the Board of Directors of "Information Service" made such a prediction before the BNR.

" GERD + DPS + "There is such a people" – it's the government. If one of the smaller parties enters, it can also participate," said Prof. Konstantinov.

Prof. Konstantinov pointed out that the campaign was "strange to say the least": "No one was talking about the important things. It came down to mutual attacks. Emphasis was placed on voting technology – we should not discuss how, but what we vote for. Disappointed Bulgarians will remain disappointed. This election will be decided mainly by the hard cores".

He expects turnout to be slightly higher than in the previous vote.

It is important for Bulgaria to form a stable government for at least one year, noted Prof. Konstantinov.

It remains to be seen whether European politics will undergo a reversal, he added.

"At the moment there is a strengthening of nationalist parties. Nationalistic doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing. Interesting events await us", said the former deputy chairman of the CEC.

He believes that direct polls should be carried out to the Bulgarian people on international issues.

"The question should be asked: "What do you think should be done about the war in Ukraine?". My personal opinion is that this insane war should immediately stop and move towards a peaceful settlement of the conflict. He clearly has no military solution. It is not a conflict of NATO, even less of Bulgaria. The theme of war and peace should be the main theme of this election. The important topic for Bulgaria is now the external one".
