"Bulgaria is not in some huge economic or social hole from which it cannot get out. People's trust in political representatives has simply been overthrown, collapsed, destroyed. There are no leaders, there are no people who can lead other people after them, including Borisov seems to me to have softened, something that I did not expect from him. Politically they will manage, assemble a government and do it. From there on comes the big problem of how they will sell it," commented Damyanova.
According to her, Borisov's ideal goal is to retire from political life through greatness and enter the history books.
"Borisov is inclined to do good deeds, not because he has suddenly improved, but because his mission from now on in life is to establish himself as one of the great political leaders of Bulgaria in this century, to enter the history books , to have his own head, there is no other aspiration. These people don't want to get richer because I don't know if that's actually possible," said the PR expert.
Damianova is of the opinion that PP-DB chose the right decision by standing in opposition.
"They are not in the condition of Slavi Trifonov or Cornelia - a small party that lost a little or lost a lot or grew a little. They are in the state of a ruling party. When a ruling party is sent into opposition, it is good to sit in opposition. This is healthy politically," commented the PR expert.
According to her, it is of great importance how political forces will show themselves again to society.
