59,424 students are expected to appear today for the national external assessment in Bulgarian language and literature after the seventh grade, BTA reported.
The exam, which will begin at 9:00 a.m., will take place in 5,431 halls in 1,665 schools, the press center of the Ministry of Education and Science announced.
Seventh graders will work on 26 tasks. The first part of the exam lasts 75 minutes. The work time has been increased by 15 minutes compared to last year.
The first part includes 25 tasks. Of them, 18 are multiple-choice, six - short free-response, and one task is extended free-response. This assignment requires seventh graders to interpret a short excerpt from a studied work of art.
All exam tasks are based on the study material in Bulgarian language and literature from the fifth, sixth and seventh grades.
The second part of the exam lasts 90 minutes. In it, the seventh-graders will create a text - a detailed retelling of an artistic text with the fulfillment of a certain didactic task. The artistic text was created specifically for the national external assessment.
The exam results will be announced by July 2, 2024.
