Taxis in Plovdiv jumped against the idea of importing drivers from India - 1

Against the increase in the quotas of taxi drivers cars in Plovdiv are from the National Association for the Protection of Transporters and Taxi Drivers (NAZPTV).

They expressed this position in their opinion on "Draft for a decision on determining minimum and maximum prices for taxi transportation of passengers and a quota of 2,200 taxi cars,", BTA reported.

The members of the Association are of the opinion that in this way conditions are created and the citizens are prepared for a new proposal to bring taxi drivers from India to Plovdiv. This was confirmed by Volodya Domashenko, co-chairman of NAZPTV.

"A similar lobbying approach also prepares the ground for the next proposal - importing the necessary taxi drivers from India. "Plovdiv is already a leader in this sad statistic, because as of today, less than 2,000 drivers have a license for a light taxi driver (UVLTA) for the Plovdiv municipality, and only 1,715 of them practice this increasingly unattractive profession," they say. in their opinion, the members of the NAZPTV.

"We strongly object to linking the mandatory, legally required annual update of taxi fare limits with someone's investment intention disguised as an attempt to improve the quality of taxi services! The idea of improving the quality of taxi services by mechanically increasing the quota for permits seems extremely secular", the Association also wrote in its opinion on the proposal.
