The permit will be granted for a period of five years, with the right to two extensions of up to two years each. "Block 1-26 Han Tervel" has an area of just over 4 thousand square km. and is currently poorly studied.
Potential participants are required to have realized at least 150 million euros in net sales revenue in total over the last three financial years. They must have software to interpret the collected seismic data, as well as the necessary expertise needed to carry out the permit activities.
Hope for discovering gas in the Bulgarian waters of the Black Sea is clearly not abating, despite the three unsuccessful attempts so far for someone to start exploration of the block.
