"We have planned actions with the relevant timing what we should do. We voted for everyone so that the work can begin. All parties will go through consultations. That's the logical approach, that's why we did it. Otherwise, we would still be inside and nagging each party about something. Meanwhile, MPs are paid regardless of coming in for 20 minutes.
This is what ITN MP Toshko Yordanov commented in "Day ON AIR" on the occasion of the election of Raya Nazaryan from GERB-SDS as Speaker of the National Assembly.
Rumen Radev starts consultations with representatives of the parliamentary groups from June 24. The question is to which party the mandate will go.
"If he doesn't give it to us, but goes to another political party, we firmly go to elections, and this will be to some extent the president's decision, and his responsibility. If the third term comes to us, we are ready with what we have to do, there we have enough time to calmly hold the necessary talks with all parties", added Yordanov for Bulgaria ON AIR.
According to Yordanov, there are experts both in ITN and in other parties with whom an expert government can be formed.
"We will not say: "This government will be dominated by ITN" and thereby kill the very idea of expertise. There are many good experts in DB, and there are in BSP. Here it will depend on whether the deputies and parties are in the parliament for the country to have governance and stability, because an expert government supported by a larger group of parties will have the necessary stability. And it won't be some assembly between monastery courtyards with the patronage of the late Alexey Petrov", commented the guest.
The lack of government also harms people because of the lack of functioning institutions, he believes.
"There were no ultimatums from our side. Either you have conversations with your possible partners, you evaluate together which person will do the best job in a given sector, or the other - we call it an expert cabinet, and we put whoever we want. There are experts in every party. The bad thing when there is no government is that the state blocks. This also causes financial damage to her. Food products in Bulgaria cannot be 50% more expensive than those in Italy or France," Yordanov pointed out.
