According to Silvia Velikova, in recent days the position of Kostadin Kostadinov from “Vazrazhdane” has been different.
„So far his thesis has been – I take the mandate, I propose a government that wants to support me. Today he said: “I am taking the mandate, gathering everyone without GERB and DPS, and we agree on an expert government”. Including PP-DB and “Velichie”, commented Velikova.
„This is an indication, in my opinion positive, for Kostadinov and “Vazrazhdane”, who, feeling that they appeared more radical or more exotic than them on the field, are beginning to enter into a more systematic, more open towards a coalition position, which makes them a more serious party. “Revival” are entering a more serious terrain”, said Christian Shkvarek.
Regarding “Velichie”, Silvia Velikova explained that they are already starting to move in different camps there. “Their representative said that they will forgive those who supported Anna Alexandrova, but at the next vote with GERB and DPS, sanctions will already be considered. So far, they are apparently standing as a number”, Velikova.
„In Bulgaria, management is not done with 121 people. There was an attempt at such management – of Oresharski. You need more than 130 to manage more than 1 year. Political support from a larger party is sought. "I'm skeptical that they will find her," Shkvarek said.
They also commented on the behavior of ITN, as well as their requests on what they would do if they received the third term from the president.
„First they failed a mandate, then they failed a government. Now they must have decided to show that they can form a government. Toshko Yordanov says that they will invite everyone for a third-term government. "There's no way it's going to happen," Velikova thinks.
„There is a logical reason for ITNs to start entering the amploi of the more serious ones, who are capable of forming a government at some point. It's just that the game is starting to change. Until now, for several years, we had the game of winning by showing how principled you are, against the formation of some cabinet, you are the more protestant, you put the rod. People are sick of someone putting up a pole. It started to become unprestigious for you to be the one who will again send the people to elections, said Shkvarek.
With regard to Borisov, according to Shkvarek, he is in a difficult position. “For a long time he held the big broad center, moderate popular masses, conservative. This center was dropped, by compulsion, because it had to stagger into an ultra-liberal, ultra-Euro-Atlantic position in order to survive under external pressure. This center has been omitted. Radev is on the field, who can appear and rob this centre,”, Shkvarek said. “He is not hostage to Peevski, but to the situation. And Peevski is somehow a hostage – you manage to make your party a second political force and at the moment there are huge expectations for you from your own political party,” commented Shkvarek.
The two also commented on the resignation of Hristo Ivanov.
„For the democratic community, this is a big drama because I think this was the only legitimate strong leader in this community who brought some kind of legitimacy to this political community,” Shkvarek said.
